The house,
reimagined

A 1970s worker's housing building made new — three suites, a gallery, and a slower way to experience deep Osaka.

Our story

HERE Senbonkita is a place to notice things — the architecture, the neighbourhood, the quiet. A renovated bunka jūtaku run as both a guesthouse and a rotating gallery, built for travel that slows down rather than rushes through.

The House

A 60-year-old Shōwa-era workers' housing building, given a new life as a design-focused guesthouse — tucked in a quiet corner of "deep Osaka," away from the tourist trail.

Three guestrooms and a shared free-space, built to let guests soak in the Shōwa-era charm of the neighbourhood.

Location

Nishi-Tengachaya, deep Osaka

Three stations sit within easy walking distance, but the real way in is on foot — through three shōtengai that have anchored this neighbourhood since the 1970s. Many of their shutters are down for good now. We hope your stay helps keep the ones that remain open, and gives the new shops just arriving a reason to stay too.

  • Nishi-Tengachaya Station 3 min walk · Nankai Koya Line
  • Kishinosato Station 7 min walk · Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line
  • Tengachaya Station 10 min walk · Nankai Main / Koya Line, Sakaisuji Line
